The 7S25 movement in my SBDA001 titanium Samurai has died and I figured I'd upgrade to a hacking/handwinding NH35A. I can't even get to the first step, removing the 7S25 compatible stem from the titanium crown. Switching to a modern Samurai crown stem is not an option they are steel and too large. The stem feels "spring loaded" into the crown now but I can't unscrew it. It just spins within the crown.

I would upgrade to a 4R15 movement.

That's the way to go. Even a 7S26C brand new that often ship without a day wheel would have worked just as well.

I love my SBDA005 orange titanium as wel shown far left, it has the Yobokies black and gray (should be black and orange) insert as the original is just so faded in the orange section. Ti buckle on NOS OEM rubber HTF for this model
