Hi, just got into watches. looking to probably end up with a few affordable watches so i can rotate wearing them.

my question is how do you guys store your watches ? watch box ? looking for a good and cheap solution or to see how you guys store it. i know these aren't the most expensive watches, but i still like to take care of everything i own to avoid scratches or other damage.

please post some pics if you guys can along with how much it cost.

thanks in advance!

There are some decent looking watch boxes on Amazon. I'm thinking about getting one of them myself. I'm just worried about getting a box that holds too many watches. . I won't be able to fight the urge to fill it!

Did I just say "too many watches?" :)

Alpha Getty actually posted a design like this way back when, and I thought "hey, I could build that!". Found a bamboo cutting board, some dowel rods, and a bit of pipe insulation in the basement. Ta Da! Cost all of nothing.

This was just a test, the real watches hadn't gone on yet. It'll hold 12, but I usually hover around 10.

Old picture, but I picked this up for $45 delivered on eBay when the insanity first took hold. It's pretty close to full now.

I got a watch box like Jaymay's in the Rosewood finish, it costed around $50.00 off of Ebay. It's nice and stores up to 20 watches..........

........though I am only half way through filling mine up!

Dr. Robert:
I really do think that your collection would be nicely rounded out by an Explorer-type watch.
:-d
What's that Citizen chrono in the top left?
That looks great- and your collection is coming along nicely as well!

I keep mine in a handkerchief-lined dresser drawer.
Here's a question for you with fancy watch boxes- where do you keep the boxes?

H30+,

Thanks......I'll have two more to add to it come next week. As to where my watch box resides, I keep it on top of my dresser.

One nice 12-watch box. For those wondering, I have no idea where to get one - we bought it through a groupbuy action and the organizer didn't want to reveal the source. You can find similar boxes on eBay occasionally and they're popular with Paneristi because of the big cushions, which can easily fit 47mm sizes.

2 of these little ones for the little watches

1 of these big ones for the big watches

It is a good safe way to store watches.

Plus a couple of glass top single watch boxes for my pocket watches/stopwatches that I like to look at but don't really use but super rare occasions.

A bought 2 x Gisoni Padula boxes. Spacious enough for larger watches and robust.

Some pictures (not mine, found on internet):
