How many have seen great deals on the Sales Forum and have no money

I have seen so many great deals, but I don't have any money to pull the trigger. I have wanted an Omega PO and saw a JAW DROPPING PRICE of 1750.00 and it didn't sell and went to 1700.00. I have never seen prices at this level.

It's killing me to stay and see all these great watches and also let's not forget about all the new brands forming. I actually thought of just taking a break from the forum for a few months and coming back when things have gotten better.

It is hard to be restrained with all the beautiful watches flying through there! I am already way over my self-imposed limit of 10 watches at a time, though, so trying hard to keep my fingers off the mouse...
I've "found" the money for a couple of pieces. Just picked up a Breitling for about $300 off what I would have paid 4 months ago. Long term piece I'd been eyeing for some time, so hard to pass up.
I've noticed a lot of deals popping up on the sales forum. Man, if I had the deep pockets I wish I had, I'd have 3 or 4 new/used watches by now.

It seems there's a lot opf great deals out there, but also a lot of sale threads that have bump, bump, bump's on them, indicating it's taking longer to sell, and a few price reductions to get stuff sold.

Man this economy stinks!
I've already reached limit of what I can purchase but you're right... prices have gotten way down and it's real hard to see some of the deals while having no funds for it...

Mind you there is also another side of the story... prices these days are making it a horrid time to flip anything... and it's not just this forum, it's e-bay as well...o|
It's true of all the sales forums.

There are lots of watches for sale everywhere at REALLY good prices. I have picked up FIVE pieces in the last month or so at fire sale prices.:-! In two cases I was able to arrange favorable trade deals with a local seller and I sold a watch outright along with a couple of watch winders. I've already seen two of the pieces I bought at even LOWER prices (though not by much). There are so many new postings on the larger sales sites that it is almost impossible to keep up with them on a regular basis. I still have two pieces that I still want to sell but there is just too much activity to even bother at this point! It is going to be a while before things improve; this is definitely a time to buy if you can afford to.;-)
Its driving me crazy o|

I watched one of my dream watches stay up forever, burgendy UN for 4000 :p:p:p I dont know if it was a good deal but I wanted it. Lots of good watches being sold that I could possibly afford too (under 1000) but I got no money for watches right now, year end is comming up :-(.

On the upside maybe next year Marathon SAR will go back down in price.
I just got a Swiss Auto for 230 shipped on the auction site. I don't know what the quality will be like, or if its ETA or Selitta, but I'll find out soon.
Having just been laid off, all I can do to achieve additions to my collection is purchase new straps that make my current watches look dramatically different. So far it's holding my interest, but you can only have so many straps before they all begin to look the same, especially when one's as picky as I am (I will never again buy a two piece strap ,unless it's another TedSu or TedMcSu Kevlar). So my answer is "ME! ME! ME!", I'm in the same boat with ya; wanting to pick up on some of the great deals I'm seeing, but just can't afford to.
Man, it's so true. I've seen several really fantastic pieces posted at silly prices. Maybe I'm a sap or a sucker, but I feel bad for the sellers of some of these pieces -- just watching them sit there for days at historically low prices. Man...

Just bought a Marathon TSAR last week and a custom leather strap.
Now i'm very interested in some Autozilla's in the sale's forum but my girlfriend is going to kill me if i buy another watch :-d
Yeah, way too many deals. I just picked up A Sinn U1 With 2 rubber straps and a Ted Su Kevlar strap for $1300 shipped.

Wow! 6 months ago no one would've believed that!
Guys...this is what credit cards are for. Buy now, worry later...let's get this economy jumpstarted! :-!

Just kidding, btw.

Being in the same (sinking) boat, i too have resorted to buying straps & G-Shocks lately as a laid off Michigan auto engineer.

I think this thread is exactly what the below angry red smiley was made for! we see all this temptation, but cant justify buying! aagggh!

Same story every time I visit the sales forum.
We're buying a house, so I have to save all my "extra" cash for that. It's killing me seeing some great watches out there for bargain prices. o| Once we close on the house watch out. ;-)
