How much should it cost to add a link back to a bracelet?

So my first "real" watch was a Tag Heuer Aquaracer that I got back in 2013. Anyway, I want to add a link back to the bracelet and am curious what the going rate for this is. I have the extra links and everything, so I just need someone to put one back in, that's it. So what's a ball park estimate for a jeweler to take care of this really quick, or even have someone at a mall kiosk do it

I have never had a jeweler/watch seller I have bought from charge me to put or remove a link. Maybe to buy a link, but not to add/remove one. Not even a strap. And a good number of ADs should be willing to do a watch brand they sell for free even if you didn't buy from them.

Without reading other replies I have to say that if someone ask for more than ten dollars they are robbing you. I do almost all my own work aside from complete tear down cleaning everything else is fair game. I have 2 Tag's an Aquaracer and Carrera and can remove or add a link without any damage (that's the key point) in under 5 minutes. So...…………………. If someone needs to putz with the job for 15 minutes I'd be concerned.

Unlike a lot of the other watches in this price category, Tag uses a friction/collar system for the links. They can be somewhat difficult to remove, but if you have the proper pin pusher and a small jewelers hammer it is a breeze. I agree, you should invest in a small watch repair kit to include a case opener, a battery cross reference chart, a battery tester, pushers or link tool to remove links, and a set of good jeweler screwdrivers. Then try them and you will find out after some time how easy and fun it is to do it yourself.

I agree about DIY but if you choose to pay, I'd say under $15 in a large city and under $10 in the hinterlands.

I've had links added and even had clasps replaced at AD's completely for free. Had a link done at Jared so about as corporate as they come and from a more mom and pop shop which was an AD for about a dozen brands including Rolex, Omega, etc. Never been charged. Even if the watch wasn't a brand they sold.
