also In my collection but not with me currently:
which two pieces would you add to the box? I want to cover most of the bases.
no more omegas, Breguets or cartiers.
you’re absolutely right about not filling a watchbox for the sake of it. I appreciate it!You are going to get the same stock suggestions to make your luxury starter set watch box that will look like everyone else’s. Get unique, get creative, go outside the box. But most importantly, don’t fill a watch box to fill a watch box. Don’t buy a watch to go with the others. Buy a watch when you find a must have piece that’s only important to you, even if it takes years for the next piece.
a GO is a great idea! Maybe the green dial 🤔+1 for the GS. Maybe a Breitling, or a nice GO?
Yeah, I’m liking zenith and IWC , those have been good suggestions. I do like the Portugueser, and the 36mm defyId go chronograph as well. A Navitimer, Zenith chronomaster, IWC pilot chrono etc.
so I hear. I hope Breguet isn’t a b*tch to service but if it is, that’ll be their loss.Just be aware, that by all reports the further you go up the Swatch hierarchy, the more annoying service gets.
I just want something different. I love what I’ve heard from everyone so far:You have a lot of great suggestions but I think the thing to guide your choice is, why do think your collection’s lacking? If it’s just because you’re going number I’d say don’t bother. If you can get more specific about why, even if you don’t quite know what, it would narrow your choices considerably.
I was thinking a President day date, for the baton hands and the champagne dial. Obviously I’m a bit far off from attaining one new, but your answer did solidify that for me.I think your collection is awesome thus far. Doesn't "need" anything necessarily, but a Datejust (has to be fluted/jubilee) is such a classic it's always a good choice. And it comes in so many color choices you can add a dial you don't have with any other model. That's what I did with the Slate dial...

Definitely can see myself with a chrono master sport, love the movement. I’d love a blancpain but I’d only ever buy the no rad limited edition or the barracudaA few thoughts come to mind:

Under 40k , more than 5kWhat's the budget?
I’ve struggled heavily with that. Both Seamasters are sentimental, the black being the first luxury purchase. To start with, I'll get rid of one of the Seamasters for a Rolex. The 3 (the Rolex, the Omega, and the Cartier) together will form the core, or basis, of the collection. Watches you can just wear the heck out of.
Then you'll need something that's not mid-level luxury, that Brequet is one of them, so 2/3 more, depending on whether you want 6/7 to finish off the collection.
Brands to consider - Girard Perregaux, VC, Glashutte Original, Lange...the list goes on.
that’s option one. Stick with what I have and be happy with it.There's nothing "missing." You've got a good three watch collection.
