Hi guys.
I have an Apple Watch 4 but really like this Huawei Watch. It’s super slick and has a long battery life.

Anyone has experience with this watch and iPhone?

Not me. I'm not allowing any Huawei software on any of my devices if I can help it.

How are the reviews for the apps you'd need to install to use the Watch GT?

I have no experience at all with an iPhone, but I do have a Huawei watch 2 and am very pleased with it.
The Watch 2 uses Android's Wear OS so it would clearly be less suited to an iPhone.
The GT has Huawei's proprietary OS and there's an app for the iPhone. As long as apple doesn't ban the app, I expect it would work fine with your phone.

I got the Huawei GT watch and I love the way it works, specially when its paired with Huawei P30 series phones. The app to operate the watch is Huawei Health and it is available for iPhones, not just Android OS. I do not have an iPhone but my wife has and I ask her to check the app. The app requires iOS 9.0 or later and there are mixed reviews as far as its functionality. In my experience, apps like this will always some limitations / restrictions that are mostly imposed by the OS and the settings within. I haven`t experienced any issues with the watch, app or the phone I have the watch paired with. I think its a great watch and the battery life its incredible !

I have noticed that when I cycle through a tunnel of more than one kilometer, that distance is not included in the total distance recorded by Huawei Health. The time is still included so your average speed is impacted.
