Looks to be in very nice condition this watch.
Revue made good watches with quality movements. Your watch is vintage with
military style dial, from late forties I'd guess.
Nice buy.

I fear I may have over-paid for the watch, but it looked pretty damn good and there was a complete language wall so it ended up going for $250.

I think everyone on this forum has overpaid for at least one watch in their collection.
As long as you like and it gets plenty of wrist time, it'll pay for itself.

I do like that two tone dial, which is showcased in that last photo.
I would try to find a strap that complimented one of those colors and I think it would look even better.

Hi there,

I fear I may have over-paid for the watch...... for $250.
Some people ask for a look under the hood before discussing the price. Revue Sports were available with movements like in this one:
bidfun-db Archive: Wrist Watches: 377: Gents Revue Sport Centenaire Manual Wind, Jubilee Model, 1953
Then the price would be acceptable if the condition is near mint.
But they were also available with more pedestrian movements like in these:
bidfun-db Archive: Wrist Watches: 235: Gents Revue Sport Manual Wind, Sub Second, ca. 1950
bidfun-db Archive: Wrist Watches: 911: Gents Revue-Sport Manual Wind, Military Watch, ca. 1940
Then 250 Dollars should have bought you at least two of them.

Regards, Roland Ranfft
