The movement and case are correct, and the dial and bezel match but something feels a little off. Take what i said with a grain of salt.

Also do your old man a favor and order a nice new strap for it.

That was my initial impressions as well. The other ones I've seen have the bezel without the connected pip marks but I don't know enough about Raketas to make a really informed decision. Like I said, I'm new to this arena.

Well, it looks great and it's simple to service as per most USSR/Russian watches.

And since you're a newcomer to Russian watches, buy a new strap. Trust me on this one.

It looks OK to me - certainly the case and movement are correct, and most "dodgy" 24hr Raketas have the wrong movement (a modified 12hr movement; whereas yours is the correct 2623H movement). The hands are also OK.

I haven't seen that exact dial (I have seen that bezel, though). But it looks too good to be faked. I'd say it's fine.

Be aware that Raketas aren't at all waterproof! Apart from that, though, they're pretty bomb-proof.
