Hi Watchuseekers,

I am attending the Nicolas G. Hayek School of Watchmaking (WOSTEP) this coming January in Miami. The school prepares me for a watch technician job upon graduation. Although I am ready to start at this level I am wanting to immediately take the next step after my graduation from Nicolas G. Hayek and attend a school like that in Neuchatel, Switzerland. However, this school requires me to take a year or two after graduating from WOSTEP and gain experience in the field repairing watches. Not that I want to cheat the system and skip this step BUT does anyone know of schools, particularly in Europe, that accept WOSTEP grads for a next level education? Thank you very much.

To be honest I think their advice is sound.
You will learn more a year on a bench in a busy service centre or shop than you ever could studying at technician grade.
Also you need to improve and hone your skills before moving up a notch.

I believe nickolas g hayek school as every wostep certified school does not need 3 years experience for a full 3000 hours course a beginner with good aptitude can follow it without any experience at all
