Hi- I am new to this, so please be gentle.
I have this watch that was given to me by an elderly woman whom I take care of. Along with several other toys and christmas ornaments was this watch in its original box. (I was complaining about not having any money for Christmas, so she gave me a box full of old toys and christmas decorations)

I have no clue of its value or history and placed it on ebay. The phone has not stopped ringing and people are asking me all kinds of questions. I placed a reserve on the watch & reserved the right to end early as someone told me it is worth a lot more. I am very confused, I looked online and read a few sites on the history of Ingersoll and not much is said about
the Big Bad Wolf & three little pigs wrist watch. One guy said the box was most valuable and that the watch strap was also really rare but as usual, very vague and asking me to give him a price, another guy said the watch info was what was the most valuable . . HELP! . . . I told no one of the reserve price and made no claims to pricing. Bid started at $5.

here are some pictures and link to the ebay auction. Please let me know any information, as what ever the value is I will sell at, because for me it is a miracle to even have come across it during a time of need.

Thank you for your time [link to live eBay auction deleted by moderator... we don't do valuations anyway. See the stickies as to why.]

Any idea as to which forum I should inquire in?

For the auction link even though the purpose of the post isnt exactly to promote the time piece, I believe it should probably be in the sales forum under ebay and luxury watch auctions.

Is there a question in there or is it a sales post?

It sounds like you're asking how much you should sell it for.

If you post photos somebody might be able to provide some information about the watch but character watches are kind of a specialty all to themselves

Hi; What do you mean character watches? and yes it is currently going up for bid on ebay. I am just confused as to its value. The # of calls and inquiries is overwhelming and I just want a quess-timate as to what it is worth and a little history.

A brief google search seems to indicate it is likely from 1933 or 1934. I am not a member of the auction sites that have sold them or will soon have them for auction, but take i the date into account when evaluating offers.

I saw the pics of your watch before the link was deleted.
A staggering amount of interest for that which is essentialy
a cheap, childs watch.
I would think your watch has more interest to collectors
of toys rather than vintage watch collectors and is attracting
such interest due to the completeness of the package...original
box, strap instructions etc.

A rare item, I've never saw one before.

Since the question appears to have been answered, I'm closing this thread. This is a forum for watch appreciation and identification, not for valuation.
