I bought an Ingersoll Sioux in June, 2008 at a reputable shop here in Frankfurt. The watch has never told time well. It runs about an hour fast every 24 hours. I've had to send it in twice already, and will be picking it up tomorrow. The workshop has had it for 3 months!!!

If it still isn't working well tomorrow, I'm going to get my money back. It has been a nightmare. We'll see how it turns out.

The quality was really bad in the beginning, i've heared of several jewellers that had up to 50% returns, we also repaired a lot of them, quite bad made movements with several tricks that could cause defects very easily, i think they've improved the quality but i haven't seen one of the new productions yet.

Well, I got my Ingersoll Sioux back from the shop yesterday and it seems to be running better now. Only 5 seconds slow over the last 24 hours.:-!

And yes, I did realise I was reviving a dead thread, but I did it for the benefit of posterity. And because I couldn't find more recent threads. :)

Hey Chascomm, thanks for your post.

Yeah, I am happy that it works now. And I do now realise that 15 seconds per 24 hours is pretty darn good. I was just initially worried that it was 2 seconds at first, then 10, then 15. I was just worried it was going to keep getting worse and worse.

But the bottom line is, I love the way it looks and feels, and it tells time correctly now, so I am very happy indeed.

And by the way, I love your town. I spent a month there over New Year's 3 months ago.

:-s 15 seconds per 24 hours? And you're not happy with that? That's actually a very good average result for a non-Chronometer mechanical watch.
