As per the title, my Borealis developed an interesting natural patina which I really like : the bezel, lugs, crown and sides of the case are a little darker brown, while the rest of the case remained at a lighter bronze colour.
How do you think this happened?
Case a different bronze alloy than the other components? Or what?

Possibly different alloys or a different finish roughness (e.g. brushed vs polished).

I can think of three reasons why it could look different.

1. Different alloys. They both look like bronze, but one could have more aluminum in it's mix.

2. Cast vs. machined. The case could of been cast and the sub-components could of been machined.

3. I think the build up in certain areas like near the crown and between the bezel & guard could be due to less oil from hands and less rubbing from clothes.
