Just realize that today's "Bulova" and "Accutron" bear no resemblance or lineage to those of the mid-20th century. They are just resurrected brand names by new rights owners.
That is not entirely accurate. the owners are not new rights owners, in the sense of the practice that has permeated the watch industry for years (where someone buys the right to a brand and related rights and make stheir own thing). IN the case of Bulova the entire company (not just the brand names) have switched hands a few times. That said, I'm not sure how the bulova brand itself has changed, but I agree about the accutron brand. It was definitely moved by the prior owner from being a very specific bulova sub brand that pertained to a very specific movement type, to a stand alone brand within the group focused on sporty watches that has nothing to do with tuning fork movements.
