I am planning on buying a GW3000BB-1A G-Shock Aviation watch but I don't like the the resin band on it. Would I be able to buy a separate metal band from a GW3000BD-1A and put it on the GW3000BB-1A? They are the same watches just the GW3000BD-1A has a metal band and case. The GW3000-1A has a resin band and case. What do you think would it be possible and how exactly?

Cheers, Mike

I just bought a GW-3000BD bracelet to go on my GW-3500B, so I would say it will fit the one you're talking about.

GW-3000BD bracelet, Stainless steel - Tiktox

It's supposed to have the spacers and everything you need to install it, but they're not cheap. It cost almost as much as I paid for my watch.
Thanks. Where did you buy the spacers? The thing is I just don't like the color of the 3000BD thus I am wanting a metal band for the 3000BB.

Cheers, Mike

Yes, it is possible. The 3000BB and the 3000BD have the same black inner metal bezel cover, the only differences between them are the resin vs bracelet and the color of the dials.

Here is my GW3000BB on a SS G-Shock Bracelet and SS Inner Metal Bezel Cover. I initially picked up a used 3000BD Black Metal Bracelet for it (it came with the plastic inserts and washers), but it was missing a link or two and was a bit tight. I ordered a new link for the black bracelet off pacparts.com, and I saw the GW3000D SS Bracelet for a great price. I decided to pick up the SS Bracelet, silver metal bezel cover, screws for the bracelet (there is a slight difference in length between the screws between the resin strap and bracelets), and extra washers. I want to eventually pick up a GW3500 so I can make my GW3000 all black again with a bracelet and have a GW3500 with either a silver/black theme or silver/grey. I've been meaning to add to the thread above with some pictures I took when I was changing my GW3000. I'll try to do that over the next few days.
