I got one of these for my 18th birthday from my grandparents in the early nineties. I only had it for a year or so when my old flatmate accidentally threw it away. I've been trying to replace it ever since and recently spotted one on ebay. I won the auction at a pretty low price. Nothing about the seller's history or the listing that would suggest it was fake. However when I opened it to replace the battery something about the movement made me think it may be fake. I don't know what I expected but for a watch that was worth £150 in the nineties I would have expected a little less plastic. Photo's follow.

I'd be grateful for any feedback.

Yes looks original,

It is from beginn of the 90` it has an ETA movement (955.112 i think), the case back is from the 90` (swiss pack).

most watches before 1995 don´t have the "1853" on the dial.

so all look´s good you have a genuine Tissot !

what about plastic ?? the movement holder ? or the blue electronic circuit with the coil ?
under the blue circuit you have a good movement without any plastic and with many parts and till today you got all spare parts for this ETA movement !
