Is the BB58 bracelet useable for small wrists?

Hi all, I am considering a BB58 in blue. I have a 6.3 inch wrist. I've seen videos where reviewers show that the clasp is long and has a link that does not articulate, and therefore makes it a weird fit on small wrists. I'm wondering if I'm better off getting it on the fabric and buy an after market strap. Can anyone weigh in?

Yup. This is by far the most popular method to get that perfect fit. Uncle Seiko’s half link.

I've a 6.5" wrist and just could not get past the clasp/link. It was nothing to do with comfort or fit, but just how daft it looked when I'd rest my hand down on a surface.

Or better again a Steel Reef easy link.

Buy two Uncle Seiko half links, put one in either side of the clasp, that's what I did.

Mine felt ok in use, but looked out of place to me. Just seems large clasps don't fit for me size or look wise.
As soon as I got the matching Vanguard strap, my 58 was complete. No thoughts of a bracelet since.
I think it depends on how flat your wrist is as well. The length of the clasp didn't bother me. It was that I was always just in between links to size it right. With an Uncle Seiko half link and a Steel Reef quick adjust, I've got the perfect fit finally.

How is the BB58 clasp large? I'm wearing one right now. The modern Submariner clasp is large. I don't think this one is. And if the non-articulating link is a problem, have you adjusted the links on either side of the clasp to properly to center the clasp on your wrist? Also, while the link attaching to the clasp doesn't fully articulate, it does have some curve to it. I have 6.9 inch wrists so while I wouldn't call them tiny, they are that large either.

I don't think it's the outer, exposed part of the clasp that gives small wrists problems. It's the inner folding part of the clasp that's problematic. Removing enough links and getting that centered so that it doesn't protrude from a smaller wrist can be difficult to say the least.

My wrist is 6.75” and I have plenty of space to play with either way.

Tudor makes a very good and adjustable bracelet.

I think this does a decent job of explaining the issue.

Thanks. I understand the issue now. Thankfully my wrist is large enough that none of that is a problem for me as mine fits perfectly. I also have the US 1/2 link, although at the moment it is not needed.

I have a 7 and 3/4 wrist and the net clasp length is laughable large. Had to move link from the 6 o'clock side to the 12 o'clock side. Wearing the clasp "centered" is seldom a good idea for a comfortable fit. Normally, less links on the 6 o'clock side is preferred. Same goes with Rolex watches.
I don’t understand why that deployant part must be so long, the clasp on Omega SMP bracelet looks large but it measures only about 48mm on the inside while still providing on the fly microadjustment. If you are looking for comfort, but the Forstner Oyster bracelet for BB58, it’s great and looks better than the OEM rivets (well, the clasp is nowhere near OEM but it is much shorter).

My wrist is 6.5", maybe slightly under that and the BB58 is comfortable on my wrist. Not my most comfortable watch, but it is far from my worst. I have a few videos of it on my wrist if you are interested.

Its not aboht how it wears, it wears great, but rather it is about how it sits. In that regard, tudor ** up. One of the best clasps I've experienced in terms of simplicity amd quality, but the link to clasp design, well it's beyond dumb. As dumb as not offering a half link that doesn't just replicate the clasps microadjust
in the first place. I miss my bb58, but it always lived on after market.
Is the BB58 clasp design used in other Tudor watches or is it unique to the BB58?
Based on my own experience, it‘s best to try it on your own wrist. I know it is not easy as AD won’t re-size for you to try, perhaps if you have friends who own BB58.

my wrist is similar to you, around 6.25” and roundish (I envy those with flat wrist), and I have ‘avoided’ BB58 for the same reason as you.

so I bought BB36 thinking it would suit me better. Unfortunately, I still have issues with BB36 non-articulating link adjacent to the clasp, so although in theory BB36 should suit my wrist, it just didn’t. I even bought US 1/2 link, placed it at different end, but couldn’t get good fit. i couldn’t center the clasp and had to wear it too tight/too loose. I couldn’t find a good strap pairing either. I sold it last week.

now, comes BB58. I tried very briefly when the gilt version came out but wasn’t wowed with it, so I never paid more attention. When the blue was released, I also thought it is a ‘meh’ although slowly I started to warm up after seeing countless of IG photos (it’s a disease). I briefly tried someone’s BB58 blue and this time I was wow’ed. I promised myself that I would get one as soon as i sell my BB36.

About BB58 bracelet. on each occasion I tried BB58, the bracelet has been re-sized but none exactly fits mine but I had a feeling I could make it work and because I really like BB58 blue, I was even prepared to purchase forstner model 0 or US bracelet, in case I could not get the right fit.

but as it turns out, I could get a good fit (comfortable) with the OEM bracelet (4 links at 6 o’clock and 5 links at 12 o’clock with micro adjust on 3rd hole next to the last link). I couldn’t be happier with this!

sorry for the long post but my point remains, try it on your wrist and you could be surprised… or consider getting the aftermarket bracelet for it.
