Hi everyone :) i would like to get some opinions on this seamaster. I see that the crown is incorrect, but do you guys see anything else unusual about this watch? Thank you!! :)

Are those the seller's pictures? What site? How much?

From the pictures, nothing stands out that would make me think it was a fake. However, the bracelet polish job is pretty bad as someone just shined up all the original brushed links and for some reason, it seems to me it was put back on the watch backwards. And with the age and shape it's in, it's improbable that the seconds hand is original. Likely replaced at service as it's still red. Most at this point have faded to pink or white.
The watch looks ok apart from the crown.
What's the seller had to say about it ?
Any of you look at the date wheel?

Aside from the two year old that polished this thing, there is something very, very wrong with this thing.

The bit on the right hand side ?
I must admit I didn't see that, the first time
I noticed that silverish piece on the right of the date window also. Hard to say from the picture of just how prominent it is. I'd want a better pic of it to be sure.
Waiting for OP to finally tell us it's $1,000 cheaper than all other similar 2531 options currently available.
That's part of the dial. It's the right side of the 3 index that's cut off by the date window.

That looks like the edge of the date wheel to me.

Here is a picture of how it should look. Note how the two digit date is centered and there is no edge of the wheel visible

Either there is something very wrong with the movement or there isn't the correct movement in there.

This watch has very many issues.

Ah, didn't see that. Makes more sense. Thought people were pointing to the index.

I've been buying and selling second hand goods for nearly 20 years. We have a rule - if we suspect something is fake, we pass on it. Sometimes I couldn't even say why I initially get that feeling, but I've been doing it long enough with enough success to listen to my gut. What I never do, is ask someone else to make that decision for me.

I love a good deal. I try to save money where ever I can. I keep seeing these threads here, I cant help but think these people should find another hobby. The most expensive things in the world are things I buy and dump in the trash.
Are the waves reversed as far as dark and light? They are on mine but I didn't know if that was the case for specific years.
It is genuine but appears to have been serviced on the cheap, not to mention well worn. My guess is somewhere along the road the original movement has been replaced with a standard ETA, hence the wonky date wheel and mismatched crown. It looks like they tried to stick an Omega HE crown onto the stem at 3 o'clock. For reference, here's mine. Different movement and dial, identical case. Notice how the main crown is about ¾ longer than HE crown? I would say pass unless the seller provides pictures of the movement and discounts the watch accordingly.

Do you think the dial feet are damaged or missing and that's what's making the date wheel sit like that ??
If that's a HE valve where the crown should be there will be nothing stopping dirt and moisture ingress, that would worry me

I don't think anybody knows until they pull the back off and see what is in there. I suspect it is the wrong date wheel and yes, there is zero water resistance.

Even if many bits are real this thing is a hot mess.
