I'm nearly about to buy a CAC1110 but I think it's a fake mainly because of the quality of the back and a missing tag stamp on the side buffer.

On the other hand, has been worn for years without a mark on it, chunky feel, has screw crown and back, movement is stamped ETA G10 711 with all chrono functions working. Good lume, 120 clicks on bezel, split pins for links on bracelet. Does this model have fakes almost as good as the original? Thanks it advance for any info.

Seems like you have a lot of detail on the history and the condition of this watch well beyond a typical watch for sale listing?

How well do you know and trust the seller?

Buy the seller.

I'm not familiar enough with this variant to point out any obvious warning signs.

Too many watches, too little time.

Hi Toni,
Not fake at all, there is a difference in the model numbers CAC1110 and the CAC1110-0, where the first model has no TAG Heuer inscription on the rubber side bumper.
Also, the bracelet is different at the lugs, the first model has (from my head) 18mm endlugs, where the later one has 20mm, and different shaped ones.
Other than that not that many differences in the models as far as I can remember.
This watch looks in excellent condition with the bumpers still intact and a bezel with no marks, succes with the buy!

That is the only thing I can't get a confirmation on by looking at pictures, I found a picture of the caseback of a cac1110-0 and that one does indeed look different, but then, the one in your picture cac1110 might have a polished casebackplate, or has been engraved like that by TAG Heuer.

On the other hand, all other parts, like the bracelet, movement, dial, hands, etc. are correct so I really doubt this one is a replica, it's just too perfect compared to F1 fakes, which look like crap.
Succes with the buy!
