Hi all, I was thinking of getting a mechanical watch, which would be my first one. Anyway, my budget is severely limited, and this one seemed quite good-looking to me. Amazon.com: Men's Tru Apocalypse Pro Mechanical Skeletonized Dial Stainless Steel: Watches. However I am a bit unsure about Stuhrling, as I have read that their QC record is mixed at best, while their CS is quite good. Also this one does not have any customer reviews, so I am unsure about taking the plunge. Any suggestions?

I have several Stuhrling mechanicals and they all have been good. I have had no problems. They use Chinese movements, but nothing wrong with that. If you like it go for it.

You live in the US, returns are hassle free, don;t worry about it.

Ive had a stuhrling for more than a year and it runs great.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I finally went ahead and bought it. Its a little too big, but seeing the mechanical movement ticking away underneath is absolutely fantastic. I will put some pics up very soon.
