Is it laterally clutched, like 1861s, or vertically clutched, like 9900s? All they mention is the column wheel (yawn).

If it fits and/or they make one that does fit, I'm buying it. I choose to wear a seamaster on the hottest days because of its adjustability.Does anyone know if the new adjustable clasp would fit the 3861 bracelet ? It's only 1mm wider at16mm, so if the center links are the same size, that could be a possible upgrade ?

It's hard to understand why a few month apart the 3861 didn't get similar clasp... Unless this is an actual fit, and it's just a marketing decision to try to get extra cash from the clasp sold separately?
I am sure this has been considered by Omega before releasing the 3861, and I wonder if it's not an intentional choice in the end to get people to upgrade.
I don't need another blue watch and I don't need another white watch, but now I need a blue and white watch.Speedmaster Chronoscope![]()

Being that this just came out RIGHT NOW, I would doubt if anyone has tried this yet. Maybe a few days though.Does anyone know if the new adjustable clasp would fit the 3861 bracelet ? It's only 1mm wider at16mm, so if the center links are the same size, that could be a possible upgrade ?

I just stopped by the local OB and asked them to confirm that the clasp can be fitted to the Speedy Pro bracelet. I will post results here. Now I need to see what the part numbers and cost are to retrofit that clasp to my speedy
It's essentially the same movement as in the automatic Speedmaster Racing, which is 44.25mmIt's amazing how small this guy is. Omega could have easily made this a 44mm with being automatic.
They just got back to me and said that while they are 99% sure it'll fit, they can't promise it until they receive a seperate clasp and mount it to my watch. Understandably, they won't try this with one of the Chronoscopes that had already arrived in the store today.I just stopped by the local OB and asked them to confirm that the clasp can be fitted to the Speedy Pro bracelet. I think these are great too. Not sure if I will get one yet. Personally, I do not see them being waitlist-type pieces though.I think these are great and a couple of the colourways will likely be very hot pieces. Prepare to be waitlisted!
Hahaha same hereI don't need another blue watch and I don't need another white watch, but now I need a blue and white watch.
Please share the part numbers and lots of pics when you do try it!They just got back to me and said that while they are 99% sure it'll fit, they can't promise it until they receive a seperate clasp and mount it to my watch. So I've got a clasp on order and will update once it arrives.
It’s vertically clutched. On a related note, why isn’t the 3861 so-equipped? Purely aesthetics? Is it laterally clutched, like 1861s, or vertically clutched, like 9900s? All they mention is the column wheel (yawn).
