They were a brand that were sold by ShopNBC and other online TV retailers along with Invictas and Croton. I think their automatics are mostly Chinese movements some use Myota and they have a few Eta's but that was a long time ago from my memory. Their logo JL is almost identical to Jaeger LeCoultre not sure if this was intentional.

I see them often here in Greece. I believe they are good quality watches, although I never had one. I like some of their vintage inspired dress pieces.

I have a JLM Sports diver , it has a Hattori /Seiko VJ52 /8 dollar movement in it , i consider it a cheapie , has no value to resell , keeps time has a nice leather strap , basically its a watch .no more no less , like Timex

 

Jacques Lemans have the "Swiss Made" line and the regular line...the swiss made are very good quality watches with Ronda or Eta movements. they are also equipped with sapphire glass. they have stopped making the Swiss made years ago ..but you can find good deals on second hand..

I had a "Swiss Made" auto for several years I wish I had not sold. It was beautifully designed and very well constructed. I think some may consider it a "fashion" brand because of JL's reasonable pricing. I do not not see it as a such and would not hesitate to buy another.
