One of these popped up locally in a Jewelry store. 18K case, original dial, very good condition, serviced by the owner, a watchmaker. He told me he replaced the crown with a generic. All the pushers work(he needs to adjust it to line up better with the case.) The one thing I noticed is that it winds up very hard, nothing like the 2 JLC's that I own.
Do you think this is interference caused by the generic crown or something else? Any guesses on the price range these should sell for?
For your reference, the watch looks just like this:

Not sure. Could be a tight mainspring, or rubbing of the crown, Can't tell without examining the watch. If the watch was owned by a watchmaker, I would think that something simple like winding issues would have been sorted.

We are not allowed to discuss specific prices here, but suffice it to say that if the overall condition is anywhere close to the one in that post, be prepared to open your wallet very wide.

Hope this helps,
