santasmile I have been resisting the urge to buy a new rolex for 32 years, finally I bought myself a brand new Rolex GMT-MASTER II on 12-22-2006, I have been wearing it since then, only taken it off when I shower. The more I wear it the more I fall in love with it. It was a major financial expenditure but worth it. :-!

Re: Pics please!

Keep it on when you shower... it stays cleaner and it's kind of fun to watch it get all wet knowing it's made to do that.

Very popular this year. Traded for a 2002 GMT II about a month ago. It's more than I ever expected. Perfect size & weight.
Congrats on a great watch and wear it in good health!

Yes it is the new GMT II with the Ceramic bezel and the bigger crown.
Hi nko51,
compliments for your new Rolex, but I would just to specify that is NOT the new GMTII with bigger crown and ceramic bezel. In fact the SS model with these improvements should be (we hope ...;-) ) issued at the next Basel fair (april 2007).

In any case a classic!

Ciao

nice watch!!
I also used to only wear for special occasions, but started wearing while working with no problems. I figured if it is water-proof, dust can't be that bad either (rinse with water to keep band clean).:-!

If I were to buy another Rolex, the GMT w/Black bezel would be the one. I'm considering it as we speak as a replacement for my 14060. Congrats on a great choice. Many happy years to you...
