As the title suggests...

Trawling the bay and this jumped out at me.... hoped someone could give an idea of its age... or a possible movement ID?

Hi there,

a nice repeater movement. A shame to butcher it for its gold content. Anyway, I'm afraid it will be difficult to find replacement for the center wheel :-(

If it could be proven it was a Omega then they would be falling over each other bidding...
So you're saying it might be an Omega.....

And one bidder! So it must be some kick ass rock.
Indeed, I believe it must be somebody from the Natural History Museum.. together with "watch" it can be nice investment.. and "at least 100 years old" ;)

Wow, that is the movement from this old ladies pocket watch...

I do not think so Radger
The movement is a Lepine movement without doubt.

Actually, I am more surprised you do not questions its authenticity . LOL

Nope, I think this watch movement is 100% original and fresh to the market.
It's certainly a fresh one!

It's nice to see it unmolested....

I'm sorry. but it was not an Omega perhaps a Doxa .

regards enrico
Thanks Enrico.... I'm not interested in Doxa, so you stopped me looking like a nincompoop - Adam ;-)

It's odd... Just checked and it did not sell?? Obviously no Doxa collectors picked it up... No mention in the title or description.....

Hi, I wonder if you could edit your term of phrase, stupid or idiot would suffice.

i think no need for vulgarities. That topic was discussed during your absence and is not acceptable on WUS (well swearing)
Thanks Adam
