I've received the OWC 9411 about 1 wk ago and have to say its an outstanding piece. I talked with Dan and was asking about the styles and the wait times and happened to ask if he by chance had any "laying around". And guess what? This was a special piece that he was working on to see what it looked like. A 9411 blue dial/black bezel set up with 5517 hands. It really is a great watch. I typically dont post many comments about watches but felt like I should with this one. I wont go into details as there are several reviews written much better than I could articulate it but I wanted to share some pics of this beauty. Although I will say that over the past wk its averaging about -2 sec/day. I've been trying them on different straps in preparation for a trip to the Florida Keys in a couple weeks. I love the OEM bracelet and I have the mesh as well and those are great fits, but always have to try some new things too. So feel free to make more suggestions and add your own pics of your OWCs. Sorry for the rambling and on to a few pics.

Right on for throwing up your thoughts and the different straps.
that is really sharp looking! i might request something like that w/ different hands. what movement did he put in it? Seagull?
Wow that's sweet, have one on my wish list
Great piece.

Every new OWC thread I see is like another dagger in my heart as I wait (Im)patiently for mine.

Very cool, This is a nice combo, I had thought about a Snowflake dial with these hands and it looks like it really works well. I was kicking around some dial combos and may try this one

Even was thinking along the same line for my 2255 Omega

So many silly ideas and so little time

Thanks guys. I also got a set of snowflake hands for when the urge strikes to switch it out. This one has the Soprod movement in it and it's an extremely smooth motion. My next order has the seagull movement just to try it out. I have a 5517 on order....unless there is someone who is tired of theirs??? :). My other thought for a strap is a watchadoo. Like Lex said...so many ideas, so little time. By the way,Lex, hanks for your help with the bracelet ideas, and great dial thoughts.

^^^that looks great. These really are some quality pieces of work. The mesh is very comfortable too. Love all the pics of the OWCs.
He makes a nice watch. I'm waiting for my name to come up for an MS9411.
Absolutely worth the wait! Just a very solid piece.
Such a beautiful watch. Is the Lug to lug actually 51mm from pin to pin or is that tip to tip? I'm just slightly nervous due to having 6.5in wrists. 51mm lug to lug is long for little wrists like mine.

Hello,

I have 7.25" wrists and from a front perspective there appears to be 3/8" on either side of lug tip, so you combine that spacing plus the wrap around shaped lugs and I will bet the watch would look great. Mine looks awesome and IS the most comfortable watch I've worn.

Cheers,
Dan

I was in the same boat. The curved lugs play a big role in fitting small wrists. You should be fine.
Center to center or pin to pin is 44.5 mm, max lug to lug 50.88 mm, the case has a curve and the lug tips have a downward curve after the lug screws.

Oh got ya. I didn't realize that the case was curved. That definitely plays a big role in better fitment. Now it's just a matter of deciding between this and a tuna. I'm very tempted to get this!

I think you will be fine with a 6.5in wrist. My wrist is 16cm/6.3in and I think it looks ok. Here is a picture I took about 12 days ago. I know not the best but I can take some better ones if it helps? :)

Pictures always help !!!

Is it a new acquisition ?
Well I will say this. Dan has been great at answering any questions that I have had about the watch. Amazing customer service! Probably the best I have seen in any watch company out the gate. A lot better than having to fill out a ticket and hope for a reply someday. I think I'm gonna go this route over the tuna. It's thinner, ceramic insert, smaller diameter, and the a-10 is supposed to be beast.

Thanks for the pics! I appreciate it.

As long as you are prepared to wait (and wait) then you will end up with a cracker. I'm 5 months in, hopefully get some good news soon
