I've received the OWC 9411 about 1 wk ago and have to say its an outstanding piece. I talked with Dan and was asking about the styles and the wait times and happened to ask if he by chance had any "laying around". And guess what? This was a special piece that he was working on to see what it looked like. A 9411 blue dial/black bezel set up with 5517 hands. It really is a great watch. I typically dont post many comments about watches but felt like I should with this one. I wont go into details as there are several reviews written much better than I could articulate it but I wanted to share some pics of this beauty. Although I will say that over the past wk its averaging about -2 sec/day. I've been trying them on different straps in preparation for a trip to the Florida Keys in a couple weeks. I love the OEM bracelet and I have the mesh as well and those are great fits, but always have to try some new things too. So feel free to make more suggestions and add your own pics of your OWCs. Sorry for the rambling and on to a few pics.

Such a beautiful watch. Is the Lug to lug actually 51mm from pin to pin or is that tip to tip? I'm just slightly nervous due to having 6.5in wrists. 51mm lug to lug is long for little wrists like mine.

Oh got ya. I didn't realize that the case was curved. That definitely plays a big role in better fitment. Now it's just a matter of deciding between this and a tuna. I'm very tempted to get this!

Well I will say this. Dan has been great at answering any questions that I have had about the watch. Amazing customer service! Probably the best I have seen in any watch company out the gate. A lot better than having to fill out a ticket and hope for a reply someday. I think I'm gonna go this route over the tuna. It's thinner, ceramic insert, smaller diameter, and the a-10 is supposed to be beast.

Thanks for the pics! I appreciate it.

As long as you are prepared to wait (and wait) then you will end up with a cracker. I'm 5 months in, hopefully get some good news soon
I'm willing to wait for a quality piece. Plus that will give me time to save for it. I'll put aside X amount per week. That way it wont seem like such a long wait.
Real nice pics. I found the extra mini links included to be damn effective.
I don't own one of these yet but when I had an SMP the half links were wonderful.

I'm still amazed at all of the engineering and details on my 5517. Dan is great to work with. I'm submitting my order for a blue snowflake A-10.

I've waited for years for a few custom knives, often with little or no communication until the knife is done and ready. Dan is great to work with, so it is well worth the wait.
Yea, I placed my order for a blue a-10 flake as well w/blue date wheel. Can't wait. I don't mind the wait so much with my insanely accurate damasko hogging all the wrist time anyway. I just wish it would be here sooner
Edited my posted because I found the info I was looking for ...

I'm a little over a month on waiting for mine.

Well worth the wait (which is fairly short compared to some others!).

My MS9411 with A-10 Soprod and matching blue date wheel.

Looks great! I ordered the exact same one as last month. Can't wait for my wait to be up and have it on my wrist.

Omg 2 1/2 years! Dan told me it would be 4-6 months.

I've heard that it's a shorter build time for the a10 movements vs seagull. Don't know if anyone can confirm this.

He is doing A-10's first and as the movements come in they move to the front.
That is why I went A-10, I wanted to try the case first but finially decided it was time to try that movement.
Thanks for the info. I didn't want to bother Dan. I know he's probably busy. I appreciate that. That's definitely good news. I wanted to get the a10 because I have heard great things about it and this watch is going to be a keeper.

I'm currently over 6 months now, hoping its going to be in the next 4-6 weeks but I have not been given any specific date yet
Did you order one with an a10?

I hear ya. I've got the nassau on my list for the 2015 purchase.
But I know if that kingston ever pops up, i'll want that too!
Right on.
I was on the waiting list for a Nassau but cancelled my order due to lack of communication of their part when the dated Nassau was launched. This prompted me to hunt for a red triangle date version on the used market. They will eventually, just have to be patient.

I'm wish I could gauge when this watch would be available so I could properly allocate my watch funds. My better half has a limit of 1k per watch, yea, I'll be over that for a used Nassau but, that's life.

Congrats guys! Mine is getting nearer. Dan has already sent me my invoice for my final approval. Which I quickly approved. Should only be a few more weeks and I'll be wearing one like the rest of you.

Steppy, I love that dial, if he had that in blue, I would have been all over it. My heart is sent on blue for my first owc.

Hopefully I'll be like you guys soon enough.

Patience pays dividends. Congrats! How many months did yours take?

The "ML" may refer to some additional military twist on the stock 5517? Just a wild guess, since there is no info yet.
I'm one of the lucky ones. I got mine made very quickly. I believe only 3 months. Hasn't shipped yet but hopefully soon.

ML = Museum Line (or something similar) and references the option of having Dan install a vintage movement, when available.

Kamonjj - congrats on the Snowflake. I love, love, love mine. I can't stop wearing it, though I do have my Marathon SAR on wrist at the moment. My Snowflake has the Soprod movement - yours?
I had to go with the A-10 too. Even at that price point, I don't think it can be beat. Ceramic bezel insert, all links removable with torx, awesome clamping case back, adjustable bezel, yea I'd say it's a win. I'm so pumped. Hopefully customs doesn't have mine for awhile.

Anyone wanna buy my sbcm025? Lol

Congrats. It looks so nice. That ceramic bezel is sweet. Let us know your detailed impressions once you get it. I know it will be tough to share wrist time with your Damasko!
It's funny you mention that, I was thinking of making this watch my first in depth review. I have owned plenty of watches by now to give a decent opinion me thinks lol
