Kickstarter: Now live - Miyota 9039 automatic watch for $280

Attention fellow watch enthusiasts: We just launched our first line, Mark One, on Kickstarter for as low as $280. It’s a beautiful automatic watch with a Miyota 9039 automatic movement, 316L steel or CuSn8 bronze ($380), double-domed sapphire glass, grade A BGW9 lume, half open back design, and leather straps.

The design of our watch is very unique, which from first feedback here on WUS might be a little out there for many of you. We’re hoping that the low price intrigues you to add something different to your watch collection.

To address your immediate question of how we can offer a high quality automatic watch for such a low price: This will be a zero sum game for us if we sell out on Kickstarter. We’re not aiming to turn a profit on our first line. As a no-name brand we know we have to earn your trust with quality, price, and unusually fast turn around (for a Kickstarter).

We placed the order for Mark One back in January and are now hoping to offset some of the remaining cost with a kickstarter.
