Brand: King Seiko
Model: 5246-6000
Year: ~1972
Price: $1200 OBRO USD shipped, payment through Zelle. International OK but you pay for the ride.
Description:
This a collector-grade KS 5246-6000. The case is unpolished and sharp, the hands, dial furniture, crown, crystal, and dial are near-flawless. Also includes the somwhat difficult to find original buckle. The complete original blue protective sticker is on the back of the one-piece case. The watch is keeping great time; the day and date flip over with a nice 'snick'. The movement was serviced when I purchased it a few years ago, but I have no records to provide with it. The movement is the legendary 52KS, running at 4hz/28800 vph with chronometer grade accuracy. It also has the super-fine regulation adjustment screw at the 7oclock position, which Seiko stopped doing in 1973, I think. The 52KS was the basis for the 4S15 used in mid-90s Alpinists and is very well regarded amongst collectors and watchmakers.
Please excuse any dust or lint in the photos, the blanket I had laid out apparently was used by my dog recently.
I am listing a number of watches today, please take a look at my post history for more collection cleanout. Thank you!
