I found this Komandirskie Tank on the Web and I was wondering about the logo on it. I know that the Vostok logo is used since 1969 but before that they usually have the star under the middle. This logo I've never seen before. Is it maybe fake?

This is the logo of Ostwok, was an interesting and little known Vostok venture out of Russa as the Soviet Union was collapsing.

Ostwok watches were manufactured by Vostok starting from approximately 1995 for the Swiss company Ostwok S.A. in Illnau. These watches differ from 'original' Vostok watches only by the use of the Ostwok logo on the dial. The company went into liquidation in 2000, and by 2002 it was ended.

You can view photos and information for three of these relatively rare pieces on my website. Just go to the pre-defined dial ID search and click on 'Ostwok'.
