This is a very nice Rolex lady's Oyster Perpetual Model 6619. The case serial number is 323xxx.

The movement is mechanical with automatic winding, Rolex 26 jewel Calibre 1130. The source books say different things about this watch. They indicate the case serial number as being from 1944 (!), but the 6619 / 1130 combination didn't see the light of day until the mid-1950s. As you know, Rolex's usage of case serial numbers was infamously lax during that period . . .

The case is all stainless steel, with screw-down case-back. The fluted bezel and Rolex signed screw-down crown are 14K yellow gold.

The all original dial is white with yellow metal hands and applied yellow markers apropos of the era and in good condition; there is a very minor shadow on the dial at 4 o'clock that does not detract for the watch's beauty.

The bracelet, 13mm between the lugs, is the period-appropriate expansion rivet Oyster. When the watch came to me the spring in one link was missing, but that problem has just been rectified by Rolex in New York.

The crystal has just been replaced with the correct Rolex part, and the case & bracelet have been refinished.

Keeping very good time and in good-plus over-all condition.

$1,299 plus actual carriage.
