For sale is a vintage Aviator’s wristwatch from my collection.

The watch features a crown to set the time and a single chrono pusher to operate the central seconds hand for chronograph use. First push starts, second time push stops and third push resets the central seconds hand. The sub seconds are working continuously. The hour, minute and subseconds function properly. Chrono seconds hands resets at 12 properly working as it should be.

Manual wind, Landeron 32 caliber, pre WW II watch, Breitling and Montbrillant were producing aviators watches with this caliber,12 lignes mono pusher chronographs, but since there are no marks I am not selling it as an early Breitling. What I learned in vintage timepieces is again uncertainty ( except very well documented and archived brands like Longines ). Once there is a consensus, another old-timer surfaces and changes all the bases agreed upon. Signing the dial and the bridge wasn't a common practise in that era, until WW II. They were not signed or mostly signed only Montbrillant.

The watch case is 30 mm without crown and pusher, 32 mm with crown, it has a tachymeter scale on the outer dial per miles. It has a bonklip bracelet which is easily adjustable.Own a piece of horlogerie history. The watch is ready to wear or to add to your collection.

The case has understandably some scratches but they are light and not disturbing. The silver color dial has some aging and some spots as seen in the 3rd photo. The case back reads 6457 .

If you intend to buy a vintage watch you have to mind that :

  • This watch is 80 years old and will not operate within COSC standards, some time deviation should be allowed,

  • Vintage watches should not be exposed to water, I do not guarantee water resistance. Do not drop mechanical watches and do not exercise sports like tennis, golf while you are wearing vintage time pieces.

All custom fees, VAT or related import taxes are at the responsibility of the buyer.

I am a vintage watch enthusiast and collecting also timepieces from some brands. I would like this fine timepiece to have a home where it will have care and wrist time.
