It was only a few minutes that I was able to visit the Linde Werdelin booth at Baselworld, but they were well spent. I got the opportunity to get a closer look at the new Spidolite II. Fro, left to right: "Tech Green" and "Tech Gold":
The case construction is a true testament to supreme craftsmanship of the most technically-complex watch case design. Inspired by racing cars' weight reduction technology, Linde Werdelin's signature skeleton case allows a beautifully finished custom-made automatic movement at the heart to reveal through the skeletonised dial and a clear sapphire crystal case back.
And the Oktopus II Moon Black (left) and Moon Gold (right):
Oktopus II Moon’s complication displays the existing phase of the moon on its dial, just as you see it in the sky. As the moon moves clockwise through its monthly cycle, more of its surface is illumined.. The case back is finely engraved with an octopus drawing created by Morten Linde. The crown carries an engraved octopus symbol. A series of 59 pieces, starting with 47 pieces in titanium black DLC and ceramics, will be available worldwide from March 2013, each at CHF 12,500 excluding VAT.
