Hi,

Is it possible to tweak the alignment of the GMT hand on an Aviator, or does that require a professional?

Thanks

A professional should be ALWAYS needed. Operations like case opening and glass removal requires specific instruments and technichs to avoid damages to the movement, dial and gaskets. And he also GUARANTEES the operation... ;-)
Dust and touch on the wrong place can cause "pollution" of the lubricants.

It is a very simple operation and absolutely not expensive. |>

It is also important the operation of closure of the screw back that could require a calibration tool (on some watches, at least.)

Much more simple with the press case backs, and on watches without case internal adapter ...
