I have been in the search for information for a few years, without much success. I've seen a strange marketing material (for approx. $250) on Amazon in the past. I don't know if it's available, but other than that, it seems that your list is complete.

I own the purple book aka Domestic Watch Series No. 11 Orient. / オリエント (国産腕時計)

Really there are only TWO books about Orient watches?

That's a bit disappointing! :p

That's why I think it's important for Orient to explain their heritage. They have a time line that they provided on their website, which shows a series of movement (technical) achievements over time. The book I have goes through all the models and trends through time.

okay I have to get the purple book now... :D

To Mark:
Since the Orient 60th anniversary book is an official Orient product (or so it seems) any chance that it can be offered in the US through your distribution?

I am trying white rabbit express (a forwarding company inside japan) to buy these two books. I have never used a forwarding service before.

I'll let you all know how it goes. :D

White Rabbit Express wants $48.42 + shipping costs from Japan to USA.

I have to pay $48.42 up front, and then pay the shipping charge later.

I've already paid the up front cost, I will report again once I have them in hand.

It's only been a few days, but no updates from White Rabbit Express yet. I guess they are waiting to get the item from amazon.jp before they give me the final costs.

Not so express. YAWN... :-d

Got an update from white rabbit express. $15.88 for airmail, so I paid today. I should have the books in hand in 1~2 weeks. EMS and other shipping options were available but I went with the cheapest option.

UPDATE: got an email confirming shipment, should be here soon. :)

The books arrived from Japan yesterday.

Inability to read Japanese <|

The 60th anniv book is interesting. It is high quality gloss print, full color. It is very small but thick, has a LOT of information including what seems to be biographies of key Orient personnel.

Will post pics soon. :)
