hey guys i am new on this forum and i have a doubt about a watch. i have an old longines watch called la grande classique de longines L4 709 2. i was wondering if you could tell me how i could differentiate a fake one from a genuine one. and is it gold plated? because its rubbed off a bit. it also has a number code or something at the back, "30092803". my dad told me to pick up any of his old watches do i thought id take this one, but i think it might be a fake. so any help would be great :)

Moved to the more suitable forum. Pls. re-read what Inquiries was made for (there's a sticky). Pics would be of tremendous help. However the reference number shows that there are tons of watches out of current production. Just google it. If those watches aren't similar to yours please post pics of front, back and movement.

Hi there and welcome...

Looking online, there are a few with that reference! A photo of your watch will be needed to help you... ideally with a pic of the movement! is it a quartz?
