VINTAGE LONGINES WATCH

Hi i have this watch which i know nothing about it has a number inside on the movement 5643670 it is swiss made and has 15 jewels marked inside and a on the case it says acier inox staybrite and on the dial j.w benson london any info would be welcome thanks DARTSAMSON

It is a watch probably from the late 30s or early 40s. The serial number on the movement will definitively identify the date. Longines can even tell you when and to whom they sold the watch. But I suspect it was to a jeweler named J W Benson in London :)

Longines of this era are always nice timepieces. It is well worth a service and a new crystal.
