Looking for a quartz diver – budget is £500

Hi everyone.

I’m looking for a quartz diver and my budget is around £500.

I really like the look of the Marathon TSAR Diver but just want to see if there is anything else out there like it, around its price range, but just as good or better. I’ve had a few automatics but prefer quartz in terms of not having to have it serviced every 5 years. I want something that I can keep for a long time.

Things I’m looking for in the watch are:
· Quartz movement
· Day/Date display or just date display
· Minute and hour hands are powered by Tritium Tubes
· Diver rated to 200 metres (more than that is fine)
· 42+mm case (no bigger than 45mm)
· Hands that reach the minute markers (I’m not a fan of short hands on a watch)
· Rotating uni-directional bezel with at least the 12 position marked with some sort of lume
· Available in the UK

I realise that’s a lot to look for in a watch but would be grateful for some options.
Thanks!

Do you like any of these? I kinda like the Marathons, and maybe the Traser Blue.

How about a Seiko tuna -015?
I got one for $700 ex-Japan so should just fit your budget. What's the import tax to the UK?

The Tuna is nice but slightly over budget and a tad too big

Marathon is a good choice. Strong tool watch. I just sold my Jsar and was happy with it but needed to change.

I really like the Scurfa Diver One Silicon, which is a great deal at less than $200. Lume isn't tritium, but the superluminova is really good. If I were looking for a quartz diver this would be it. (I'm planning to get one of the Automatic versions when they're released)

Funny enough I had the Scurfa watch recommended via another post on the forum. I'm hoping to order one soon:) looking like I'll get a Marathon JSAR in the coming months
