Hello there !

After having my second watchmaking course based on ETA 2428 (1st one was based on ETA 6498) and successfully serviced some Yema and Poljot it's now time to work on my Seiko !
But the first one I have to service and restore is an LM Special 5206-6030 I've planed to offer for my father's birthday in few weeks.

The watch is as old as I am (1970), and I took pictures during the process to add a photo-book of the servicing/cleaning work including some explanations to the watch ... but enough blabla !

5206-6030 October 1970
5206A caliber - High Beat 28800bph
Day & date with instant switch at 0:00
Day & date quick set
Stop second
Automatic & manual

Remounting & oiling:

And escape devices:

Date disk, dial & hands:

Mineral glass:

Case, bezel and back:

Done ;-)

Have a nice week end !

Nice job, brings me back to watching my father work on watches growing up. |> How I wish he would have taught me the trade back then.

Thanks for posting these pictures I really enjoyed watching the restoration unfold. I'm sure your father will be very pleased with his gift.

Wow thanks for sharing the process, the whole thing turned out very, very nicely. That indeed is a wonderful piece. Great work!
