Hello everyone, I think I made a mistake. If I do not let down main spring power and I hear a quick winding noise is my main spring no good anymore. I am new into this hobby so any advise I would appreciate it.

Can you explain exactly what you mean by you let the main spring down? What did you do?

I think he means the mainspring was wound, then when he was disassembling the watch, after taking the click spring off, the mainspring inside the barrel released all its energy. If that's the case, then you're completely fine. It will wind up again as normal once it's all back together.
