I've read a lot of the threads here about the 2824 or the 2836 having issues with frequent hand-winding. Following up on that, would there potentially be similar issues with the 2893 and the other 2890 movements? I may have not searched deeply enough, but I can't seem to find anything going in depth with the winding on the 2890 series.

I keep my mechanicals wound every day and would like to be informed just in case any future purchases might be affected by potential issues. That goes especially so if I want to keep service costs down.

I have a Bvlgari 2892-A2 sitting on the desk as backup, has been manually wound every night for more than 2 years. At the third year I disassembled and oiled and cleaned and inspected every part -- nothing wrong. The only part I replaced is the barrel because early version will not click when fully wound.

Those "threads" are rumors created by Japanese to defame Swiss watch industry.

Ironically, I'm only looking into 2893-powered watches because there aren't many Japanese mechanical GMTs in production that I can afford at the moment.

So now I'm working for the Japanese?

The chinese must have sold my contract.
As a matter of fact, the reason I made a new topic was because after going through "the threads", including your own posts, I couldn't find significant references for the 2893. I assume it's not part of the contract :-!
