What goes round, comes around….

Exactly ten years ago Maximilian Büsser had the privilege of creating the Opus series at Harry Winston. At that time the jeweler would approach a watchmaker with the idea of creating an exceptional timepiece. Today, in an amazing twist of fate, the young horological Concept Laboratory, MB&F, teams up with the prestigious 152 year old high jewelry legend Boucheron, to create the first ever JWLRYMACHINE.

Why Boucheron? Because of their incredible mastery of three-dimensional haute joaillerie; because of their dedication to creating powerful and emotional-charged creations that leave no one unmoved; and quite simply because we thoroughly enjoyed working together!

Both MB&F and Boucheron bring to the table their particular expertise and the end result are these incredible pieces neither of them would, or could, have created on their own. That is the power of what they call their "Performance Art" pieces.

Under the intricate Boucheron haute joaillerie of this Jwlrymachine beats the heart of the complex 305-component Engine of the MB&F Horological Machine No.3. In fact, when you move this haute joaillerie owl, which is reminiscent of Boucheron’s most beautiful creations, you can only be intrigued by the fluttering of its breast feathers, which is a visual illusion created by the faintly perceived oscillations beneath the translucent stone of MB&F’s solid-gold battle-axe-shaped rotor.

The result will have many staring in disbelief. You may love it or hate it, but the level of craftsmanship is just mind-boggling.

As always MB&F is looking forward to your comments and reactions!
