Meistersinger Edition 24 is one of the top 24h watches to decorate your collection. It features one of my favorite constructions - one-hand true 24h watch with 12 on top. To find an Edition 24 watch is usually not so easy task. During the years in total 344 watches were produced in 3 batches, with 10 dial versions. True, right now at the end of 2018 a couple of the last generation watches are still available in the shops. But usually, you must wait for years until some of these rarities appear as a second-hand offer.

This is a short overview of all versions known to me with stock photos.

2011 1[SUP]st[/SUP] anniversary edition

The first release of Edition 24 watches was presented in Baselworld 2011 as a Meistersinger brand 10 years anniversary special limited edition. Four different models (white, ivory, black, anthracite), everyone limited to 24 pcs, in total 96 pcs. This Edition 24 was sold only in Germany and Netherlands, plus extra to some special customers in France.
· AM2401 White also called Bicolor (with blue hand and golden numbers)
· AM2402 Black
· AM2403 Ivory
· AM2404 Anthracite

The list price was 2290 €

Technical data: hand-wind movement Unitas 6497-1, all stainless steel, diameter 43 mm, height 12,5 mm, weight 78 gr, sapphire crystal, see-through case back, 5 ATM water protection.

2011 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] international edition

By the end of 2011, Meistersinger issued another series of Edition 24, often called "International Edition". Again 4 dial versions, but with modified color schemas, and everyone limited to 50 pcs, in total therefore 200 pcs.
· AM24B01 Metallic silver - black and blue
· AM24B01G White/gold
· AM24B03 Ivory
· AM24B04 Metallic silver - black and red

The list price was 2490 €

I have no proof why this edition was often named in shops "international edition", but I suppose, that maybe this time part of the watches was sold outside Germany/Netherlands/France. Anyway, in most cases, you can find these "international" watches in Germany and the Netherlands.

Technical data are the same as in the first edition. What looks very differently is the packaging. Left - 1st edition, right - international edition.

24h-Edition 2018

In 2018 Meistersinger presented in Baselworld another, 3rd limited edition of the one-hand 24h watches. The series was titled "Edition 24H" (H is added) and so it is written on the dial, which makes it easy to distinguish this edition from earlier versions.

Only two dial versions released, both limited to 24 pieces:
· ED2018-24H01 Silver opal
· ED2018-24H17G Metallic blue

The list price is 2690 €

One slight modification to the previous releases is that instead Unitas 6497 the movement is Unitas 6498-1. The difference between 6497 and 6498 is the location of the small seconds subdial. As the one-hand watches don't use at all the seconds subdial which is covered behind the dial, and the back side of movements is identical, you can not see any difference between these movements.

I don't know exactly how these 2 x 24 watches were distributed, but I've seen them on sale at German and Netherland shops, as usual.

Technical data: hand-wind movement Unitas 6498-1, all stainless steel, diameter 43 mm, height 12,6 mm, sapphire crystal, see-through case back, 5 ATM water protection.

Thank you for the comprehensive history, Afka. I wasn’t aware there were two editions in 2011.

I discovered the 2011 production long after they sold out and periodically I’d scour Chrono24 in case one came up for sale.

During one such search a few months ago I discovered two 3rd Editions for sale in Luxembourg. They were not listed under any unique category, they were only found when searching under ‘All’. I bought the silver faced one which turned out to be case number 01/24. Very pleased.

Congratulations, number 1 sounds good!

Please, would you like to post pictures of your watch here? If possible, then pictures of box and papers too.
I have AM2401 number 10 from the very first series and gonna post my pictures too.

Here you go Afka, I've at last been reunited with my belongings. The 24H comes in a box within a box within a box. The Certificate is signed by Herr Brassler. Along with the 24H I received a No.01 wall clock but without any indication whether that was part of the Meistersinger package or a gift from the AD.

This is my Meistersinger Edition 24

1st anniversary edition, 1st model AM2401, watch #10. I bought it from eBay only a couple of weeks ago (thank you TOPAZ for the heads up!). The previous, first owner, bought it on March 2, 2011, from Juvelier Roller. Juvelier Roller from Chemnitz, Germany, is one of the most important Meistersinger resellers.

The Meistersinger's double folding clasp was extra ordered by the previous owner. The standard fastener is the buckle.
