I’ve been wearing the new Borealis Sintra for a few days now. Here are some photos. The watch is really great. It’s basically a ‘60s era Omega Aqua Terra. It has a domed/boxed crystal, lyre lugs, Omega like hands and indices. But it’s clearly a Borealis. The color is a deep, rich maroon that has a subtle brushed texture to it. The watch is solid and weighty. The crown is large and screws in with authority.
On the critical side, the bottom edges of the lugs are a bit sharp. They should probably have had some light polish there to smooth it out. The bracelet is fully articulated, so that’s a major bonus but the double clasp is pressure close instead of having a mechanism. It works great but feels a bit cheaper than the watch itself. That said, the bracelet has screwed links and drilled lugs so it’s not a major drawback.
Obligatory puppy shot!
