Are there any MICRO BRANDS that make quality dress watches? I am talking about real quality like the dive watches from the likes of H2O/Helberg, OWC, Steinhart...etc

The brands I mentioned above are serious quality dive watches, especially H2O and OWC.

Are there any Micro Brands currently making really high quality dress watches? Thew watch could be Square or Round, as long as its Automatic or Hand Wound.

I can only think of Christopher Ward. Are there any others? PLEASE do NOT mention Daniel Wellington or Brathwait!

Would love to hear your responses!

Why does it have to be a micro brand? The brands you mentioned make dive watches in the ~$500+ range. For that kind of money you can go Swiss or German.

Junghans, Mido, Certina, Tissot, etc. are all options at that pricepoint.
if you have ever dealt with Clemens at H20 and Dan at OWC, you will know why IT HAS TO BE a micro brand. They put realy love into building their watches, and that is precisely why their pieces are at the top of the Micro Brand Market

Yes, I have dealt with them and I have owned their watches. I concur, they're both good dudes. I still don't know why you're so dead set on a micro unless you're after a certain "buying" experience. Not all micros are like H20 or OWC and not all traditional watch companies give bad customer support (in fact the times I've had issues with a Swiss or German watch, I've received exemplary service). I suppose, I haven't seen anyone so enthused about micro brands they foreclose the possibility of buying from a traditional watch company altogether.

of course not! I love buying from the companies! heaven forbid me ever saying that, I am just wondering, a topic to talk about lol! I just feel like micro brands should be getting more into the dress watches, IMO

Tbh, not that many microbrands out there making good dress watches. Nearly all of them that are doing dress-route, seem to be going cheap-minimalist, or obvious-catalog-stock-parts route.

Ophion seems nice, I guess.

You need to put a $$$ range, otherwise there's plenty of micro brands that make awesome stuff that isn't that cheap.

Example (They make batches of 100 watches each, sell them directly - have only 2/3 dealers world wide... Price? This one is $6k):

do you know what the going rate for the rose gold hamburg is? I wonder if they'd make the case from a krugerrand of mine. They could keep the extra gold content

The only place that lists any prices is their Australian distributor, and I'm not sure they listed that model. The gold versions looked to be running $13-20K...a bit out of my budget, unfortunately. It looks like they strongly encourage you to meet them and order...considering they talk about custom jobs, and the prices they're charging (the stainless models are still in the $6-7K range, I believe)...and the fact that you don't know the brand...that would probably be a good idea.
