This Mido Multifort Powerwind has some obvious issues with the dial (and apparently the movement), but there's something compelling about the overall package to me, with the large case (36mm), applied markers, interesting two-color dial, curved lugs, hidden crown, and riveted-and-sprung bracelet. I have a feeling that this would be a nice-looking watch to the naked eye.

My concern is that the lumed hands may not be original, since there is no apparent lume on the dial. On the other hand, there is a fair amount of damage to the dial, and I'm wondering if there may have originally been some lume on it, which was removed. On the third hand, I can't really see any obvious places that lume would have been applied (outside the applied markers?), and I'm leaning towards the notion that old lumed hands were added to this watch, which is odd, but not unheard of.

Thanks James, I appreciate your response. In your example, you can see that there are lume dots at 3-6-9-12, tucked into the little notch in the markers (or outside the date window). Sometimes the applied markers have little holes or notches that are natural places for lume dots. The example I found doesn't have anything like that, although there is certainly room for lume outside the markers and numbers.

Is it a P model?
With that question, you have surpassed my limited expertise with Mido models. The seller provided pretty good photos in the listing, so I might be able to answer that if I knew where to look. Could you be slightly less pithy? :)

The very most desirable models would be equipped with the Portescape Incastar regulator.

I was completely unaware of this also! Opened up my 2 examples and found a 917P full rotor movement like above in one, and a 917B bumper movement with the portascape incastar regulator in the other.

I wasn't skilled or patient enough to take a better pic, but here's one of it

My initial impression is that hands are all OK...I've owned a few Mido's, and do not look upon this one's hands as unusual...an opinion only!
