This weekend I’ve been doing some housekeeping and deciding what I want to keep and what I want to part with from my watch collection and decided to get an MKII family photo.

My wife walked by and asked why I had so many of the same watch. Some people just don’t get it!

If I could only keep a few from my collection it would be the Graywater, the Nassau, and the TR. the TR has really sort of ruined collecting watches for me and has prompted me to start thinning the herd.

Let’s see some other MKII SOTC shots!

^ I’d love to add a Kingston to the collection but the only MKII that I haven’t handled that I really want is the Fulcrum. That Sammy’s to be the most elusive.
You have a lovely collecction and hope majority of it remains after your scaling down. Kingston is my fav MKII followed closely by P300. The gilt dial is something else

Yeah, the gilt dial Kingston is one of my favorites. If I had one of those, I probably wouldn't bother keeping my Nassau.

I know I'll end up regretting selling whatever ones I do part with, but maybe that will just inspire me to hunt them down again later down the road. The hunt is half the fun of collecting!

Oh man, missed your comment. The TAD Seiko is sold. Still hope to fine a 3-6-9 Nassau.

No worries. Those TAD SKX are cool. Good luck on your 3-6-9 search.

Cheers!
I bought a Red Triangle Nassau in the initial offering and then a few years later picked up a 3-6-9. I kept both for a couple years but ended up selling the 3-6-9 to reduce some duplication and free up some funds for other watch purchases. I liked the 3-6-9 better but elected to keep the Red Triangle instead just because I was its original owner and it was my very first MKII so there was some sentimental value.

I've regretted that decision ever since. I'd trade my Red Triangle for a 3-6-9 in a heartbeat today.

An old family photo from when I had both (the only one of those watches below still in my collection is the Red Triangle Nassau...):

I don't know why Bill restricted many models to using a 4:30 date window (e.g. 369, Vantage, Fulcrum, new Stingray II, etc).
if he had offered those models with a no-date option, it would have set the internet ablaze.
4:30 ... c'mon, leave that for Zenith. (argh)

Is he 100% finished with Benchcrafted? Seems like he has just gone all RTW now.

I'm glad to see the Hamilton-cased "Quad 10" i put together is still in your collection. That was not an easy build.

Wow, amazing collection! Pretty much how mine would look too if I had more watches.

I wanted a TR-660, but the pre-order and pricing sent me elsewhere. I bought a Maratac LSA instead and love it. I just can’t justify $1k for an NE15 motored watch. But the LSA was only $420. 👍🏻
