Hi guys,

I know this is crazy, considering this limited edition sells like hot cake and the preown market is selling like 10k USD doesn't justify the price. I was wondering if we could modify the standard Speedy Pro (I have the 3572.50) to look like Ultraman? The difference is the Dial, Bezel, Chronograph Second Hand, small second counter & a matching Nato strap only perhaps this is doable. Anyone could share if you know any shops is selling after market parts for the ultraman?

Hi Chris,

I doubt you'll find anyone with an Omega parts account who would sell you the OEM parts, and why why would you want aftermarket parts on your watch?? If the Ultraman is truly what you want, then save up and make it happen. Maybe flip your your current Speedmaster to help finance it? That feeling when you have waited and saved up will mean more to you.

i guess the chance to acquire these limited edition parts would be slim even with shops like Ofrei? About not buying the real limited edition watch, IMO considering the Retail price of USD5k , now preown price is now USD10k, I cant justify paying double for just pure aesthetics, considering that the Speedmaster pro uses the same steel case, same movement, at least 3572.50 uses the 1863 caliber with a display caseback. For those who have managed to buy this when it launch congratulation to them, they are very lucky fellas. I heard the Ultraman was sold out in 2 hours after launch, not sure how true is it

You will not be able to purchase the limited edition parts. It is likely that they are only available on an exchange basis.

According to Omega, all the watches were reserved in exactly 1 hour, 53 minutes, and 17 seconds. That said, you can probably purchase a lightly used one for for well below $10K. It looks like two sold recently for $7,500 and $8,225 USD.

Ofrei are no longer getting in parts. They're running down what stock they originally had.

Agree that it would be aesthetics, but those small details are what makes us WIS salivate over :)

I got a reply from ofrei , apparently he encourage us to make a complaint

From Ofrei
As per the notices posted Otto Frei Call 1-510-832-0355 For Watch Parts, our website contains all the Omega items we can still supply.

At the end of 2015, the Swatch Group which owns Omega stopped all distributions worldwide to independent watch parts suppliers and watch repair material persons. Since 1930 we have been able to get Omega parts. Now after 85 years we are no longer able to get more Omega parts.

You will need to contact the Swatch service center for help.

Both the justice department and the federal trade commission would also be interested in hearing your complaints.

When contacting the Justice Department refer to Civil action 96-170 and your rights to free trade and consumer rights to parts.

The watch companies restrictive trade practices results in reduced local business income and employment across the USA and around the world.

Consumers, no longer can decide who works on their watches and choose what work to have done on their watch.

The results are higher cost for the watch owners and reduced income and jobs for local USA workers, while the bulk of the money leaves the USA and ends up in Switzerland
