Some of you may have seen a post I put up last week about the run-around I got from an AD with a Tag Heuer Twin Time I purchased back in January. Here is the thread: https://www.watchuseek.com/f2/request-advice-4120098.html

TL;DR version: I got my money back.

Now, I've got money burning a hole in my pocket. I didn't get responses in the previous thread (aside from a friendly PM) about where I should go with this money. Thus, a new plea for recommendations.

Here is what I wrote previously:
You've also highlighted to corollary question, which is: at which other watches should I be looking? Essentially, I'm looking for something that is understated, but has a bit of a sporty flair. I keep coming back to the Omega Aqua Terra, but this would be a big financial stretch for me at this point. Other watches that I've considered include Oris Big Crown Date, some of the Ball Engineer variants, Tudor (Heritage Ranger, North Flag, and Style models), some Baume et Mercier Clifton variants, etc. All of these are available locally. Online, I've looked closely at Sinn, Damasko, and many others. Ideally, I'd like to buy locally from an AD, although admittedly, this strategy didn't work out so well this time. I'm not opposed to a used watch in good condition.

My current collection includes: Seiko SKX013 on a nato, Hamilton Khaki Field auto on brown leather, and a Stowa Flieger Ikarus on black leather. As you can probably surmise, I'm not really a 'flashy' guy.

My (somewhat flexible criteria) include:
Stainless steel - silver case/band
ideally a black or gray face
would love a date window
Ideally 41 mm or less, unless it wears small
Roughly in the price range of the Tag

Thoughts?

Nomos should have some manual-wind versions with ruthenium dials. Those run gray-brown. The low-ish contrast can be an issue, I'll grant. Not sure there's any version of a Metro with a dark dial, altho the color splashes there might be called more playful that sporty.

Mido and Tissot are coming out with Powermatic 80 Si models; the Si indicates they have silicon balance springs, IIRC. The Mido on bracelet:

Also available on strap. Jomashop had the strap version on sale; don't know if the strap was. (Always better to buy the bracelet version if you MIGHT want it. Aftermarket strap is trivial and not pricey. Getting the bracelet separate from the watch is sticking your jaw out and screaming HIT ME!.

Not overly sporting, I'll grant, but take a look at the various Midos and Tissots.

Have a look at Christopher Ward...

I could have a look at the Christopher Ward models with in house movements. Definitely consider the Tudor North Flag, and a Nomos Club (slightly sportier that their other models). Seiko - Presage/Japanese Domestic Market if Grand Seiko is too much of a stretch... At this price range Seiko is pretty much my first recommendation for everybody

Thank you to all for your thoughts so far - with respect to price range, I'm hoping to keep it under $3000 USD.

If you're open to pre-owned and/or quartz there are some fine Grand Seiko's available for that price range.

If Swiss is your thing, then I would try to get Tudor..
(Tudor is currently calling me... I don't know. I am trying to resist..... It is tough.)

Both strong considerations - thanks. I realize that Grand Seiko watches are in a whole different league than my SKX013 (which is on my wrist at this very moment), but I'm still leaning toward buying something from a different manufacturer this go around. As with many of my interests, I find it more interesting to try new things. Spice of life, as the saying goes.

My plan is to visit a couple of shops on Friday, one of which is a Tudor AD. I know they have a Black Bay Heritage 36 in stock . . . really looking forward to seeing that one. Or, maybe I'll luck out and there will be something used that looks really good. Fingers crossed for the hunt.

Please keep the recommendations coming. I appreciate all of 'em.

Money is the most precious part of today’s society. It is that factor with the help of which we are growing the human civilization as well as getting progress in other fields too. But it may have a lot of money and looking to burn it to get rid of some paper, read on.
But the question is, “Is it illegal to burn money, or can we can do it publically?” This is the most important question that comes to mind because we are talking about burning currency. So is it illegal to burn money?
