I purchased a black monster about 4 months ago. It ran +30sec/day out of the box so I sent it back to Seiko to be regulated. It came back at -30sec/day, so I sent it back again and it is now perfect (+/- 1sec/day). HOWEVER, now the day and date changes between 7pm and 10pm. Does anyone know what is going on here? I have not found a way to correct this and I don't plan to take the back off the watch myself because it would void the warenty. I will likely send it back again. I just wanted to see if any one has dealt with this before. Thanks!

They may have replaced the movement and installed the hands incorrectly. I can't imagine why they would remove the hands unless they serviced the movement or replaced it.

Best wishes,

That may be it. Unfortunately they do not provide a recordof what they did other than "serviced movement." I did notice that a small mark, which was on the face of the watch when it returned the first time, wasgone when it came back the second time. Maybe they did take it apart. I guess Iassumed that they would have mentioned changing the movement. Strange that they would put the hands on wrong?!
Thanks for thehelp Myles!

Seiko USA Service is horrible and below par. I've sent many watches back to them since the late 1970's, early and mid 1980's and during the early 2000's and I've received every single watch back butchered with marks on it on the crystal and/or on the watch case and back bezel. They will destroy, gouge and scratch your watch during repairs. I will never send anymore of my watches to them for repairs again. They are just as bad as Omega USA Service. Once you send out a brand new Seiko to Seiko USA Service, the watch is not going to be the same.
I would sell the watch if I were you and buy another brand new one and hope that the new one doesn't have any issues.
