Stop it!
Or I really have to let my sub no-date go :-d.

Cheers,

Daddel.
OK, now Im rethinking buying a PAM 005 Logo, and getting a U-1000. Fantastic pics, thanks for screwing up my plan for later this month.......LOL. Will definately go by the Sinn Factory next time I'm in Frankfurt, strap one on, see how she feels. The U series just keeps getting better and better. Sinn/2008 is going to be a good year: EZM 1 LE, and the U-1000, can't wait till next year.
Great shots of a gorgeous watch!

Congrats on your new addition.

May I ask what camera/lens did you use for these shots? Thanks!
Congrats and thanks for sharing the excellent photos :-!

I must admit your pictures looks better than Sinn's press photos.

Wow - beautiful watch! Congratulations and good job with the pictures. I have to confess, though, that you've contributed to my confusion. I have been looking to buy my first Sinn, and was deciding between the 757 and the U2. Now I'm seriously thinking about the U1000, provided I can wait... You mentioned that you have several Sinn watches - any thoughts on how these three stack up or compare in the user experience? This is obviously very subjective, but I'm curious what your experience has been.

Thanks -

my other Sinns are not divers : a 144GMT, a 156, a 142ti and a EZM1 , I have been always VERY satisfied by Sinn watches, but I must say that this U-1000 is pushing the standards way over the other I have, and I do think the watch worth the requested price (knowing that I buy it in Euro so I appologies for the US buyers and the weak dollar exchange rate ...)

JM
I agree Jean-Michel. This watch gives a new meaning to the phrase "ridiculously overbuilt". 2 viton gaskets!! I've never heard of a watch that makes use of two gaskets! Very intriguing.

I've always appreciated your thoughtful and well informed contributions Jean-Michel and I very much appreciate your pics and insights on this watch.
hi,that is a stunning watch.new to Sinn myself, that one is something else.
i bet your proud today.
best wishes,andy

Well, your apology is not accepted. Please do something about this exchange rate or my expensive tastes are going to become a problem. :)

Seriously, though, thanks for the response and again for the posts - great watch!

I'm surprised that the 20D + 50mm would give you that much DOF. Great ones, again!
The dial looks great: I cannot see why folks are complaining about the blacked-out subdial making an unbalanced composition.
It appears well balanced to me.
Thanks J-M!
DW
i think how only the important information is showing on the dial

i can even live with a black second hand

i only need it when i am setting the watch or starring at it for no reason :-d

In Sinn factory salesman told me about 3 gaskets

JM your photos are so :p:p:p

I didn't like the watch from the press release pictures and the location of the crown and pushers. after seeing your wonderful pictures, that have captured the essence of the u1000 I now want one really bad. congrats on a very nice sinn. really mean that.
You are making it very tough to wait the 2-3 months more that I have to get mine. Great Pictures! Thanks.

how "way over" quality? can you tell us more about the quality differences between the U1000 and your other Sinn?
